Engineering firm Mammoet has claimed a new safety milestone on the Shell Scotford site in Canada, having completed 1.1 million hours of work without incidents.
The giant project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, has involved significant breakbulk transport with more than 70 cranes on site, ranging in size from 9-ton carry decks to 620-ton all-terrain cranes.
Mammoet is headquartered in Schiedam in the Netherlands, and provides lifting, transportation, installation and decommissioning services for large and heavy structures in the petrochemical, offshore, power, and civil industries.
