Amytrans Handles Oil and Gas Cargoes

Breakbulk Online - News Story

Freight forwarder Amytrans has arranged for the ocean transport of oil and gas equipment from Busan, South Korea to Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, and the subsequent river transport to Vungtau.

The cargoes consisted of three separators, according to the Worldwide Project Consortium on behalf of Amytrans, the network’s exclusive member to Vietnam. The first unit weighed 41 tons and measured 8 meters long, 3 meters wide and 5 meters high. The second unit weighed 48 tons and measured 13 meters long, 3 meters wide and 5 meters high. The third and heaviest piece weighed 157 tons with a length of 15 meters, a width of 5 meters and stood nearly 6 meters tall.

Amytrans chartered the ocean-going vessel, handled the discharge of the cargoes at Ho Chi Minh City port and loading onto a chartered river barge, and then arranged for the river barge to the Petro Supply Base Terminal.
