Handling Chartering Risk in a Volatile Market

Simon Wolsey advises on issues related to carriage of breakbulk and project cargo, as well as a variety of other cargo types ranging from containers to LNG. Wolsey has drafted contracts and dealt with disputes under Charterparties, COA’s and BL’s on claims from cargo damage/delay to contract disputes as well as general average/salvage. He earned his qualifications at a specialist London shipping firm beginning in 1992, and made partner in 2000. Wolssey joined MFB in 2007. Recommended as “excellent on disputes” by the Legal 500 in 2016, he has dealt with many forms of arbitration as well as mediation and litigation worldwide.
