Svensson sits on the board of AIIS, Steel Connect BV and Compass Rose Shipping.
Clipper Steel Services carries more than two million tons of steel every year. The main loading ports in Europe are Antwerp and IJmuiden, with regular ports of call including New London (CT), Camden, Savannah, Mobile, Houston, Altamira and Vera Cruz. In addition, Clipper’s Steel Shuttle Express from Mobile (AL) to Tampico in Mexico sails approximately every five days. The main loading ports in Brazil are Piacaguera (Santos), Rio de Janeiro and Praia Mole, regularly discharging at Barranquilla, Rio Haina, Houston, New Orleans, Savannah, Philadelphia and New London (CT). Clipper’s operations and port captains are specialized in handling steel products and have a vast experience in their field. Clipper uses only suitable, modern and geared tonnage; are compliant with all U.S. regulations and maintains a valid C-TPAT certification. Clipper has been serving the steel industry since 1992.
