Australian engineering firm WorleyParsons has won a US$115 million contract from ExxonMobil for a gas project in Alaska.
WorleyParsons will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the Point Thomson Initial Production System, according to a company statement. Point Thomson is a remote field, located along the Beaufort Sea on the North Slope of Alaska approximately 100 kilometers east of Prudhoe Bay. The project includes gas processing facilities to produce 10,000 barrels a day of gas condensate, supporting infrastructure and an export pipeline.
WorleyParsons will partner with Houston-based engineering company Fluor. PND Engineers, based in Anchorage, will provide infrastructure and civil design.
Point Thomson is scheduled to begin production by the end of 2014.
