Gal-Tex hearing update

The Galveston-Texas City Pilotage Commission yesterday scheduled a hearing on the Gal-Tex Pilot’s latest rate increase application for November 2. Cruise industry representatives objected, according to the West Gulf Maritime Association, asking that new hearings be abated until the district court has settled a lawsuit filed by the cruise industry against the pilotage commission over a previous series of Gal-Tex rate hearings. However, the commission overruled these objections.
