China-Made Electric Buses to Australia

Australia-bound electric buses made in China will be a business growth area for roll-on, roll-off carriers now that a contractor for Sydney Airport has placed a major order with the Chinese vehicle maker BYD.

The airport’s ground transportation provider, a company, Carbridge, recently agreed to buy 40 electric buses in what was reportedly BYD’s largest-ever order from an Australia customer.

The 70-passenger, 12 meter-long buses can run 248 miles on a single charge.

BYD manufactures electric buses in China and California for customers in 50 countries worldwide. It’s one of several electric bus makers in China.
