Freight Forwarders Collaborate on Airlift

Finnish Professional Cargo Care and Shanghai-based Ocean Knight Shipping recently arranged for the successful airlift of a 34-metric-ton metallic roll and other equipment from Finland to a Shanghai paper factory.

A chartered Ilyushing 76TD-90VD from Ruslan International equipped with an extension ramp and roller system was used for the transport from Finland. Two cranes were used to load the roll onto the craft where it was positioned by the plane’s internal winch system.

In Shanghai, Ocean Knight Shipping oversaw the safe offloading, customs clearance and inland transportation to the factory in Shanghai. The shipment was delivered on schedule despite torrential rains.
