Moscow-based JSC Transafe Logistics chartered an Ilyushin 76 and AN-124s to move more than 150 metric tons of airfreight for oil, gas and power customers in Russia and Siberia this summer.
In June, JSC charted an AN-124 from Volga-Dnepr to transport 51 metric tons of equipment to a refinery in Omsk. The shipment consisted of 26 pieces, including a 29-metric-ton compressor and lube oil unit. Over three days, the plane few from Narita, Tokyo to Novosibirsk-Tolmachevo Airport and then to Omsk.
An Ilyushin 76 aircraft carried two 19.5 metric ton slide gate valves from Ostrava in the Czech Republic to Ekaterinburg, Russia for the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil pipeline project during August. Upon landing in Ekaterinburg, the valves were transferred to railcars and transported to the Aldan site.
JSC's third shipment of 58 metric tons of equipment for a power generation plant in Surgut, Russia was loaded aboard another AN-124 late last month. The cargo was flown from Sheremetyevo International Airport outside Moscow directly to the Surgutskaya GRES-2 plant in Siberia over two days.
