Port agencies Ben Line Agencies and Sharaf Shipping Agency have partnered to launch a new services joint venture WaterFront Maritime Services.
The organization will go live on April 1, and will offer services for breakbulk operators, charterers, managers and traders as well as for those handling liquid bulk, and other cargoes.
“WaterFront is the means for ensuring that we can extend our quality services for our customers worldwide, and also provides our customers with peace of mind that their cargoes and vessels are being expertly handled by a highly competent agent,” Kapil Celly, Executive Director of Sharaf Group, said.
The new firm will be managed by CEO Terry Gidlow and will be headquartered in Dubai. The WaterFront board of directors comprises Duncan Ramsay, managing director, and Kristian Vandermeer, regional director, of Ben Line Agencies; and Kapil Celly and Salah Sharaf, executive directors of Sharaf Group.
“Waterfront is a 21st century solution that gives the best local expertise possible through a single hub. By combining the unrivaled regional know-how of Sharaf and Ben Line we can provide ship operators, managers and traders with the most efficient service possible,” Gidlow said.
