Advanced Discussions Progressing, ALE Says

Heavy-lift specialists Mammoet and ALE have confirmed they are in advanced discussions for a purchase agreement that would see Mammoet acquire ALE.

The deal, if concluded, would create a combined heavy-lift and transport specialist with about 6,800 employees and some of the largest capacity cranes in the business.

“Should these discussions result in a signed agreement, the companies will seek approval from the relevant competition authorities. In the meantime, the companies will continue to act independently of each other, as competitors,” a spokesperson for ALE said.
 
Headquartered in Staffordshire in the UK, ALE provides heavy-lift services for a range of industries and has more than 30 regional offices around the world. Duthch firm Mammoet is headquartered in Schiedam and is one of the oldest heavy-lift firms in the world, delivering a range of project cargo transportation, logistic planning and crane rental services.
