Cargo specialist Logistics Plus has delivered a complex convertor station system to a client’s site from Van in eastern Turkey.
The 600-megawatt electric convertor station system included five transformers, each weighing 219 tonnes, and three reactors, each weighing 65 tonnes. The move was coordinated with Hareket and cargo was transported 1,121 kilometers using 18-axle hydraulic lowbeds.
“The rigging and assembly operation was executed with a crew of 24 and a 600-tonne gantry system,” a spokesperson for Logistics Plus said.
