Hareket Moves Tunnel Boring Machine Part

 
Cargo specialist Hareket Heavy Lifting and Project Transportation has delivered the main bearing of a tunnel-boring machine to a project site in Uzbekistan.
 
The complex project involved transport of the 215-tonne unit across “very difficult” terrain. Prior to transport, the unit was dismantled in order to be repaired and facilitate movement across the mountainous route.
 
“The slightest acceleration or sudden braking could cause it to tip off the 12-axle APMC trailer that Hareket used,” a spokesperson for Hareket said. 
 
Headquartered in Istanbul, Hareket is a member of the Project Logistics Alliance, which connects about 200 pre-qualified project forwarders in more than 100 countries.
