Freight forwarder DAS Global has shipped an outsized boiler unit from the Netherlands to Russia.
The breakbulk consignment involved transport of 533 cubic meters of cargo, weighing 140 tonnes. The unit measured 9 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters high.
“The route was from the Netherlands to Lukhovitsky district in Russia,” a spokesperson for DAS Global said, adding that the equipment was for greenhouse plant construction.
Based in Russia, DAS Global provides project cargo handling and advanced monitoring via GPRS and CCTV devices for OOG and Heavy cargo. The firm is a member of the WCA breakbulk association.
