Dae-Eun Moves Refinery Tower

Industrial group Dae-Eun has transported a giant refinery tower in Gunsan South Korea.

The breakbulk item measured 100 meters in length and weighed 1,078 tonnes. It was moved from Daelim’s C&S Kunsan Factory to its nearby paint plant using 60 Cometto axle lines.

“To carry the whole piece, a modular combination of Cometto electronic self-propelled MSPE was chosen. The combination consisted of 36 axles of 34-tonne MSPE, 12 axles of 40-tonne MSPE and 12 axles of 60-tonne MSPE EVO2, leading to a total of 60 axles lines,” a spokesperson for Cometto said.

Modular transport specialist Industrie Cometto is a subsidiary of Luxembourg-based Faymonville group, which manufactures semi-trailers for the special haulage industry in the 15 tonne to 15,000 tonne range.
