C.H. Robinson Delivers Texas Transformer


(Americas) Replacement from Decommissioned Turbine Farm



Freight forwarder C.H. Robinson has transported a decommissioned transformer unit across state in Texas to a mesa hilltop wind farm.

Weighing 59 tonnes and measuring more than 5 meters long, the transformer was transported in two parts along with accessories, weighing 30 tonnes. The cargo was moved 30 miles to the destination site across challenging terrain.

“An all-terrain forklift that was transported to both origin and destination sites and was used to load and unload the loose equipment,” a spokesperson for C.H. Robinson said.
