BNSF Logistics Moves Long Beach Transformer

100-tonne Unit Delivered to Mojave

Rail transport firm BNSF Logistics has delivered a transformer from Port of Long Beach to Mojave, California.

Weighing 100 tonnes, the unit was transported overnight on an eight-line dual-lane suspension trailer. The cargo measured eight meters long, 3 meterws wie and 4 meters high.

“The Solution Team of BNSF Logistics … also managed the offloading and rough setting to the foundation of the unit,” a spokesperson for BNSF said.

Headquartered in Flower Mound, Texas, BNSF Logistics is a subsidiary of freight railroad operator Burlington Northern Santa Fe. The firm is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium, a global network connecting breakbulk firms around the world.
